Night and Day

Glass with copper powder (left) and oil paint (right), 2013, 9"x3.75 3"x3" each.

This pair of sculptures made through lost-wax casting may look very much alike, but they have many subtle differences in addition to the major difference of color. The color of Day was produced in the firing by adding copper, the color of Night after firing by scrubbing the glass with turquoise and black oil paint.
