Coyote

Coyotes are long-legged, alert animals. They live in our Arizona neighborhood, but are seen seldom, mainly at night, though they make their presence known by singing along with the train whistles at any time of day. We and our neighbors feel cordial toward coyotes, though their diet includes other creatures we also like, such as quail and hares. We feel we can make no preference.
