Culture Notes from Everywhere

There are a few photos and experiences of our trip in Canada that I haven’t been able to cram into this narrative so far. They don’t fit a narrative. I like the serendipitous, the accidental, the low. Low art, that’s the term I’m searching for. In this post I’m putting a few I couldn’t resist recording. They’re not important, but maybe they’re amusing. I’ve got them arranged newer to older, and I’ll add more as we go along. Only three, to start with.

Playground figure, Beausejour Park, Rimouski, Quebec, 6/8/23.

Somewhere east of Winnipeg..

Thunder Bay, train yard on McKellar Island - but no telling where it was made.

West of Regina, along Hwy 3. Maybe this is silly only in my mind, while the maker was totally serious about his bulls. Probably so.
